For years we sat, impatiently batting away rumor after rumor…

And the wait is finally over. Yesterday, Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts 3 at the 2015 E3 conference in Los Angeles, CA.

Kingdom Hearts III promises to offer bigger and more seamless worlds as well as bring some more unusual characters into the roster. At the time of the announcement, Kingdom Hearts 3, which fuses the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney, has been announced to include Donald Duck and Goofy, as well as bring in some of the characters we’ve come to love from Disney’s Tangled.

When asked if the game would include Disney’s ever so popular film Frozen, video game artist Tetsuya Nomura declined to comment on titles that are not yet announced.

Nomura says that at this time, game play will not change much, however, for PS4 they are planning on taking into consideration the touch pad to differentiate gameplay among the systems.

Kingdom Hearts III will also be the first Kingdom Hearts to come to one of Microsoft’s consoles; it’s being released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No release date has been announced at this time.

We are very excited to see this develop further, and are willing to wait for it to reach maximum perfection.
